Brand Identity for
Music and Dance Festival

Brand Identity

- Project Overview

For this project, I designed a music and dance festival that promotes healing through dance and nature. The concept, design, and name are inspired by Native American culture, reflecting a profound connection to nature. The festival takes place in a peaceful natural setting, providing a rejuvenating experience through a blend of music and movement.

Tools:

Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Firefly,

Figma. After Effects

The Design Process

- The Concept

Many Indigenous people believe the natural world is sacred and healing, so drawing inspiration from their beautiful culture felt right. I aimed for subtlety in the design, ensuring the Native American influence wasn't immediately obvious, but made sense upon explanation.

I wanted the brand to feel connected to the earth and nature, reflecting the festival's core concept. To achieve this, I designed different shaped rocks, each with a unique color and texture, symbolizing the diverse elements of nature.

As previously mentioned, I chose different shaped rocks as the central element in the brand design.

- Image Making

I started the image-making process by creating different shapes I found with-in the Native Americans culture that interested me.

After creating various 2d shapes, I used Adobe Firefly and Photoshop to turn the flat shapes into 3D floating rocks.

I then decided to create shapes that represented the events at the festival and the overall vibe, rather than only using shapes inspired by the Native American culture

I used those shapes and designed additional ones to create icons for the event. Each event had its own unique icon, along with standard signage icons.

For the logo, I aimed to capture the same feel as the shapes I designed and the overall theme of the festival. After numerous sketches, I chose a logo resembling three rocks stacked on top of each other. I added some movement to the design to reflect the music and dance theme, positioning the rocks slightly

off-center from each other.

- Logo Design

I chose to call the festival "Tadi". Originating from the Native American Omaha tribe, "Tadi" means wind and symbolizes power, movement, and natural forces. I felt it was a good fit for the name of my festival, embodying the spirit of the event.
